Increasing Chrysler profits may spell the end to Viper

What does this really mean?  FIAT continues losing money while Chrysler continues to increase.  When profits grow, the only smart thing to do is to assure streamlining and concentrating on lines that actually generate profit.  SRT and especially Viper are have never been profit generating Chrysler ventures.  While other SRT products are based on mass produced vehicles, as long as these mass produced vehicles remain profitable, their SRT counterparts will stay.

Not so with the Viper, there is no mass produced origin for this car and it is losing money big time while continuing to earn horrible ratings from the entire automotive press.  The last thing FIAT would want is a bad apple in the profit making Chrysler.  Thus, the chances of Viper surviving beyond 2015 are extremely slim.  Considering Alfa 4C is coming soon, the chances got even slimmer.

Overall, euthanizing Viper will be a best thing that can happen currently to this relic of past attitudes and high performance market.  Viper is non Morgan and it will not survive.
